Nelson Mandela: Communist & Terrorist Extraordinarie, Died

Guys,

This past week, the terrorist and communist, Nelson Mandela, died.  The liberal media (redundant?) has had their hopelessly predictable orgasm over this, which didn't surprise me.  They have a hard-on for any and all communists, socialists, and statists.  Why wouldn't they, since they're brothers in arms?

What did surprise and dishearten me some was that the purported conservative media has gone easy on Mandela as well.  You can go to Breitbart.com, and read a piece by Joel Pollak, entitled: Why Conservatives Should Celebrate Nelson Mandela.  Sorry, but I cannot and will not celebrate a barbaric communist who killed those who disagreed with him; not only that, he killed them by a most grisly method: necklacing.  Notice how communists, socialists, and statists always kill those who disagree with them?  I'll come back to necklacing in a bit...

Mark Levin, the well known conservative firebrand who's on during drive time along the east coast, devoted the first hour of his Thursday evening show to Mandela's passing.  Since Levin had worked in the President Reagan's Justice Department, I would have expected him to take a harder line against Mandela; after all, when Reagan was president, Nelson Mandela was allied with the USSR & Cuba.  Anyway, you can hear the whole love fest here.

You know what's even MORE galling?!  The local McDonalds has their American flag at half mast to honor the passing of Nelson Mandela!  That's right; the all-American company, McDonalds, is flying their flags at half mast to honor Mandela's death.  I'm sorry, but that's just wrong!  Even if you think Mandela was a saint (and I don't); even if he were a saint (he was not!); it goes against the flag etiquette I learned as a Boy Scout.  I was always told that you only lower the flag to half staff for the passing of a national leader, not international leaders.

Anyway, for the uninitiated, necklacing involved putting tires around the neck and ankles of the victim, filling them with gasoline (or petrol for our British friends), then setting them on fire.  Here are some pictures of what necklacing does to someone (HT Elusive Wapiti).  Warning: they are graphic!  It's bad enough that Mandela and his followers killed those who disagreed with and opposed them; it's even worse that they did so by the most grisly method of killing someone, i.e. burning them to death!  What kind of person does that?  A barbarian-that's who.

In closing, I am not at all sad that Nelson Mandela is gone.  He was a communist, a terrorist, and one who ended up destroying the most prosperous nation on the African continent.  He has a pile of bodies behind him, because he killed those who disagreed with and opposed him; moreover, he killed his opponents in the most grisly method one can think of-by burning them to death!  All I can say is good riddance, and I wouldn't be sad if he burns in Hell.

Thanks for the mention, MM. Crazy, all this Mandela onanism going on.

The president just declared the US flag at half mast for 10 days...something that didn't even happen for Margaret Thatcher.

Indeed, according to the Flag Code, only the President and state governors can order flags at half staff. Private companies are not allowed to just make that decision on their own.

Justin,

According to EW above, Barack Hussein Obama ordered our flags at half mast for 10 days to memorialize Mandela's death. Though he has the right and authority to do so, this goes against custom. It's been customary to fly the flag at half mast for dead American leaders (or former leaders); I don't recall this being done for allied leaders, let alone an enemy like Mandela.

Mark, can you direct me to any reliable sources/links that tell about how Mandela dealt with his opponents? I have never heard of this, and a brief Google search yielded nothing. It sounds disturbing.

Anna,

I did a brief Google search, using the terms "Nelson Mandela and necklacing". While I got a lot of hits, the Wikipedia article and its links (i.e. external sources) turned up thisstatement made by Winnie Mandela, who was Neson's wife. It's from the Guardian of London. In the penultimate paragraph, she said that they (the ANC) would liberate the nation with their boxes of matches and their necklaces. Sounds like a pretty solid endorsement to me, and it came from Mandela's wife...

Anna,

Here's a biographical sketch of Nelson & Winnie Mandela. If you go down to June 1986, you'll note that they recount Winnie's funeral speech in which she endorsed the grisly practice of necklacing. PBS, which is the Public Broadcasting System (i.e. a broadcast network funded by our government), is hardly known for being a right wing or alternative media entity...

The legacy of Nelson Mandela and the real lesson here:

AFRICA FOR THE AFRICANS, ASIA FOR THE ASIANS, WHITE COUNTRIES FOR EVERYBODY??..

It doesn't matter what economic or political theory a brown country says it believes in, a brown country will be a tyranny and it will live in poverty the minute there are not enough white countries and white people to pull it out.

The Big Lie is that SKIN COLOR does not matter.

Meanwhile, back on earth, where do the non-whites go?
To white-SKINNED countries.
Not to IQ countries.
Not to Culturally Aware countries.
Not to religiously correct countries--and certainly NOT to 'diversity'.
On the real planet earth, the non-whites are ALWAYS swimming towards WHITE SKIN.

Maybe McDonald's was half staff for Pearl Harbor Day.

Mandela was offered freedom in 1985 if he would renounce violence. He didn't. As bad as apartheid was, SA had many blacks from other countries moving there to get away from worse places. I am no fan of Mandela, but when released he wanted races to get along. Unlike BHO, (The long legged Mack Daddy).
All these companies that left SA because of apartheid, how many have returned? Are you listening IBM?

Anon2256,

McD's was flying the flag half mast for Mandela. I know, because I asked...

OK, read it. Actually I'm not sure why I'm surprised. Chief Terrorist Yasser Arafat was granted the Nobel Peace Prize, so we know the world works all backwards.

PS: Not meant as self-promotion, but do check out my blog if you have time. After a long time of posting cookie recipes and pictures of my chickens, I wrote something that might be of interest to you.

I remember we had an appt at the VA that Friday morning. As we walked in I saw that the flag was at half, and I asked my husband what I had missed--who died? He speculated that it was because of Mandela. I said that it couldn't be, because he was not an AMERICAN leader. We eventually figured it had to be Pearl Harbor day, because the VA isn't open on Saturdays.

...I guess not. Bummer. :-(

what is the context in which he used violence?
I would assume he was responding to the violence that was being used to control the locals. Violence was the basis of Western colonialism, across a whole lot of countries.

MM are you for real. A wife's word, in absence of all evidence is now an endorsement? On a blog that champions men?
